Irving, TX

Last Friday I had an opportunity to visit a lovely Bed and Breakfast in Historic Heritage District of Irving, TX. It was a cold and rainy day in Texas - which is usual only in January and February. The owner, Lee Lowrie, was kind to show me the rooms and tell me a little of the history of this still young place (the place is practically brand new!). Still a few finishing touches left - this place is amazing. If you want to experience Texas within short distance of Dallas - come here. Stay in one of the uniquely designed rooms, some have bathtubs right in the room - that reflect Texas culture.

I will post some photos later this week. One bathroom had a rattlesnake skin wallpaper!! All rooms are different and reflect the mood and desires of the visitors. There is a room for a honeymooners, a cottage for a family, a double room for a family if needed to be connected. All have their own very quiet air conditioning units.
Lee and her husband are also world travelers and have an amazing rock collection in the living room.

Located in the very old part of downtown Irving, TX - with an easy access to train station that takes you to Dallas, Dallas Market, Hospital district.

According to Lee, their Inn is for sale but there is no rush for them to sell. Please note that also there are no outside signs to advertise their property as Bed and Breakfast. They prefer to take visitors with advanced bookings.

I hope that Lee and Tom will join our www.ibbp.com site and we will include them as Texas featured property.

I will be posting more info about Jefferson Street Bed and Breakfast here, if you have any questions please email me at leeza@ibbp.com.

My next trip - is another bed and breakfast in the area. Send me your comments and suggestion.
